How we use your details

Who we are
Foresight Energies LTD, a solar energy company in Abuja, Nigeria, decides how your details are used. You can contact us on +234 708 332 9253. Our terms and conditions cover how the website and its forms work.
What we collect through our forms
Find Your Solar Fit: your name, phone number, optional email address, the appliances and usage you select, your backup needs, your monthly power spend if you share it, and the recommendation we calculate. We don’t ask for your address.
Request a call back: your name, phone number, your area in Abuja, whether it’s for your home or business, and your business name if you give one.
Both forms also record the version of this notice you were shown, the time you submitted, and a reference number (starting SF- or CB-).
Enquiry window and WhatsApp buttons: the website doesn’t save what you type. If you choose to send it on WhatsApp, we receive your message, WhatsApp name and phone number in our WhatsApp account.
What’s collected automatically
Security check. When you use a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you’re a real person. To do this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and information about your browser and device.
Request limits. To stop spam, we count requests from each connection. We store a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, not the address itself, and delete it automatically within about 10 minutes.
Meta Pixel. Our pages load the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you visit so we can measure our adverts. Meta may use cookies and link this to your Meta account under its own privacy policy. Our website code doesn’t send your name, phone number, email or form answers to Meta through the pixel. You can limit this in your Meta ad settings or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Your browser. Find Your Solar Fit keeps your appliance choices in your browser’s session storage for up to 24 hours so you don’t lose your progress. Your name and phone number aren’t stored there.
Why we use it
We use your details to size your indicative recommendation, to call you back when you ask us to, to contact you about a site assessment and quotation, and to keep our forms secure. We rely on your request for these services and on our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse. We don’t use your details for unrelated marketing unless you separately agree.
Who receives it
Your form details are stored in our customer database and are available only to Foresight Energies staff who need them to follow up with you. Our team is also sent an email alert with your details when you submit a form. These service providers process data for us:
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- MongoDB, which hosts our customer database.
- Zoho Mail, which sends the email alerts to our team.
- Cloudflare, which runs the Turnstile security check.
- Meta, which runs WhatsApp and the Meta Pixel.
Some of these providers may process data outside Nigeria. We don’t sell your details.
How long we keep it
We keep your form submissions and customer record for as long as we need them to respond to your request and follow up about your solar project, and for as long as the law requires. When we no longer need them, we delete them from our systems and backups. You can ask us to delete your details sooner. Request-limit records are deleted automatically within about 10 minutes.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your details, object to how we use them, or withdraw consent you’ve given. Call +234 708 332 9253 or message us on WhatsApp on the same number, and quote your reference if you have one. If you’re not happy with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and each form submission records the version you were shown.
